Hello and welcome to third grade! It is a year of learning, fun, and change. Third graders learn United States history from its roots to some its most influential leaders. Science activities include the subjects of rocks and minerals, erosion, and Georgia animals' habitats. Language arts classes allow for research, improving reading and writing skills, and increasing knowledge of English grammar. Math classes reinforce skills while building on new ones. There's so much to discover and explore!
As our students move into the upper grade levels in our school, third graders are expected to show more independent skills and responsibility. Their hard work is rewarded with special activities. There are field trips, festivities, and classroom activities specifically for the third-grade class. It is a great year!
